On the evening of the 30th I was rearranging my books and I found my missing planner!

(It was under other books).

So I have a scheduling problem in my life. My work schedule here in Austin is based around California hours which means I work from 10am to 7pm. It’s nice when I need to go to the dentist or doctor and can go before my schedule starts, but it’s obnoxious that I’m locked in at home until 7pm.

My options are to sleep in late and get up at like 9:30 am and go to bed around 1:30 am, but my wife is on a regular schedule and so it messes with her if I’m up later.

Option two is to get up around 8am and do stuff before work…

But I can’t.

I am attempting to get up and get out right now but I keep sleeping in or laying around and playing in my laptop until it’s time to clock in at work.

There is an old stone windmill in Austin that I think I can make it to if I leave early enough, before traffic gets super backed up.

I am working on this.

I sent a fun postcard to the Netherlands on this day.

The profile of the guy sounded a lot like my wife Lauri and they guy is into moon stuff and so I sent this card.

I also used my new batch of stamps for the first time on this one.

Of course I also sent a weird homemade card to Tony.

I don’t just send him garbage, I promise.

And finally This Discord Has Ghosts In It.

This is sort of like a pen & paper rile playing game mixed with a murder mystery party, but played in the chat app Discord.

This game uses a fascinating system where players are divided into ghosts and supernatural investigators.

All players connect to voice chat, but only investigators can talk. The ghosts create rooms (chat channels) in the house and fill them with horrors.

The investigators explore this house and throughout the game the ghosts’ histories are revealed and the secret fears and goals of the investigators are also revealed climaxing in a series of seances that attempt to release the spirits to the next realm.

Now I need to recruit some players.
