Winter adventures will be held indoors. In this post you shall witness a naughty cat stealing biscuits, some naughty humans eating biscuits, a naughty human receiving enforcement for fare evasion, a mystery jigsaw puzzle, and of course: postcards.

I did it!
I set up a comic book pull list at Everyone Comics & Collectibles!
I’ll now be receiving X-Men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Saturday Morning Adventures version), and more.
Big fan of this comic shop.

My partner drew a comic book version of me at work.

Today I am sending my friend Tony in Michigan an oversized postcard from the Met Cloisters.

On this postcard I share with Tony that I have a giant Gundam model that I need to put together and I also share that I have some new jams to try.
These jams include the British Green Fig. Edit: Green Fig “Preserve”, not “jam.”

Persimmon Vanilla Jam

Olallieberry Jam.

And rosemary prosecco clementine jam.

I enjoyed all four and Lauri only enjoyed the clementine jam which she has claimed for herself.
The Green Fig jam reminds me of marmalade.
Small Batch Jam Co. I’m sure I’ll be placing orders with them again.
I recently placed an order for a Magic Puzzle Company jigsaw puzzle which has arrived in the mail.

This puzzle has a surprise ending.
I’m looking forward to trying it out.

Let’s crack open this jigsaw puzzle and see what’s in side.
Because I live in a tiny NYC apartment and also because I have three cats, this jigsaw puzzle will be put together on a collapsible table with a felt top and an attachable cover.
When the puzzle is not being constructed, the cover will be attached the the table will be placed under the couch.
This maximizes available space and keeps cats from running away with pieces.

Also, the table can be raised to various angles to make it easier to work on.
I have the table on top of my coffee table this photo.

Hmmm.
Mystery pieces.
I shall not peek.
Penny says that she would peek.

This lovely postcard has arrived today from China.

And this postcards is from Canada.
Both cards are courtesy of postcrossing.com

Today we sample the jams (and preserve)!
And by “we” I mean Lauri, myself and Penny (the cat).

Why is Penny so curious about the jam and biscuits?

I also recently did a coffee trade with a friend in Montreal.
Today the coffee that he shipped me has arrived.

Bonjour cafรฉ.
This is a delightful roast.

I can’t remember the name of this comic (I didn’t care for it), but this part about aliens praising Dolly Parton made me smile.

I completed the jigsaw puzzle!

“Completed” may not be the right word as there’s another bag of pieces and more instructions, but the initial puzzle is complete.
Truly a unique and wonderful jigsaw puzzle.
Let’s see what’s inside of the mystery bag.

There are some instructions in here and some additional pieces.
Spoiler warning: By opening this menu you will be seeing the completed puzzle. If you believe you may attempt this puzzle, do not proceed.
The puzzle was built in “quadrants” and these segments are shifted to allow for a new center segment of the puzzle.
A truly unique method and a fun surprise to se at the end.

An Anthony Bourdain graphic novel?

SURPRISE SELFIE!

A postcard off to its new home with Tony in Michigan.

All Out.

These are pre-written mini-plays that are performed by various guest celebrities.
Here’s who we are seeing in the performance tonight.

We came for the famed Taskmaster contestant Jason Mantzoukas, but it’s worth mentioning that Craig Robinson killed me with one of his characters.
Besides the Broadway show, I wanted to mention bus drivers in NYC being cool.
So there are some busses that are the length of two or three busses and when getting on it’s very easy to just skip paying since there’s no driver at all of the doors.
We went to get onto one of these buses, but the back doors were not opened.
We all shifted to the front entrance and I tapped to pay, which I probably would have skipped if I had taken the middle-door entrance.
Later in the ride police got onto the bus and asked for everyone to show proof of payment and one guy got removed from the bus and ticketed.
The bus driver was being cool by keeping the back doors closed to help folks avoid getting involved in that mess.
He certainly saved me from a fare-skipping ticket.
After the stop with the police, the middle doors were opening again as usual.

Today I received this lovely postcard from Taiwan.

The sender shared about how they were having a relaxing day by laying in bed and sipping tea.
I’ve been craving to play a pen and paper role-playing game like Dungeons & Dragons lately.
Here’s a photo of my RPG book shelf at the moment.

Snow is pretty…
Pretty bull crap!

If you like snow, I’m glad for you.
It’s not for me.
At least I don’t have to drive on this.

The postcard above is the band NSYNC.
This postcard is on its way to Germany and on the back I share the story of the time I tried to carefully and quietly pack up a campsite in Texas at 3am and accidentally set off the car alarm.
Oops.
This next postcard is being shipped off to YM Oceanic Culture & Art Museum to wish them another 400 years of success.
