It’s winter time in New York City. The holidays are just around the corner and we have a few more shows to sneak in before the new year. Oh, and postcards. Always postcards. (Send someone you love a postcard).

Good vegetable bullion.

Okay vegetable bullion.

I don’t remember why I took these photos, but now they are shared with the world.
Today I received this postcard in the mail from Germany.

On this card the write shares their love of chess and that they once beat a Russian grand master.
That is an achievement. Truly fascinating.
This lovely card comes from postcrossing.com
This postcard is an outgoing postcard that I forgot to take notes about.

Likely it went to my pal Tony in Michigan, but since I have no records to prove or disprove this, let’s instead say that I sent it to the international space station and that postage was $17.59.

I guess I just stopped taking all notes, because I have another outgoing mystery postcard.

I purchased this postcard on my road trip back in September.
I think this one went to my friend Tommy in Michigan. I mean on Mars. For $22.59 in postage.

Today I have a doctor visit.
In the waiting area I notice this book on one of the tables.

I recognize that name.
This is a Seventh Day Adventist book.
I wonder if it was left here by a patient or a member of staff?
Another outgoing postcard to Tony. Probably.

I can see by the background that this was written from inside of the doctor’s office.
That means I definitely sent it to Tony.
Who else would I talk to about doctor things?

Tonight we see Ragtime on Broadway.

A fantastic show.
No spoilers will be shared here, but I do suggest bringing a tissue to this show.

Tonight is the night!
We set an event on the calendar to make sure to buy tickets on the right day and we pulled it off.
We got tickets to The Nutcracker here in NYC!
Expensive tickets, but it’s THE Nutcracker show!

Truly a beautiful and wonderful performance by everyone.
There were ballet moves in this show that I did not know were possible.
I did glare at the woman sitting next to me on about her 6th time checking her text messages, but I will not let it spoil the truly delightful show.
A Christmas classic.

A homemade postcard being sent to Tony in Michigan.

On this delightful postcard, I told Tony about my new ADHD meds and how I’m working on making cheese and textiles in the online RPG we’re playing Project: Gorgon.
Y’know what?
This needs stickers on it.

Since 2025 is nearly over, let’s take a look at my top songs for the year.

Disco Band by Scotch, a fantastic Italodisco song.
Hey Hey by Radiorama, a fantastic Italodisco song.
Primitave Man by Scotch, a fantastic Italodisco song.
Vampires by Radiorama, a fantastic Italodisco song.
Eros and Apollo, the first non-Italodisco song! Absolute classic.
I Won’t Hold You Back from Toto’s IV album.
And then we’re back to Italodisco.
Y’know what? My playlists are a lot of Italodisco.
Listen to Scotch.
This year we wanted to send out Christmas cards again, but I’m in charge and I thought it would be nice to have some custom art made and so I found someone and this is what we mailed out to friend and family this year.

Notice the three perfectly depicted cats.
Keanu on the left looking wild and bitey. Accurate.
Penny in the middle with her little clipped ear looking for attention. True.
And Remus on the right side distracted by something. It’s like the rest of us are invisible. Truth.

So. I’m on the bus and a lady gets on with a stroller and…
Well… See if you can see in this picture.

It’s hard to see in that picture.
I think it’s a test hand for learning to do nails on.
Here’s another picture.

I am mesmerized.
I can’t stop watching this lady work on nails on a fake hand with a stroller on the bus.

Oh, but I should tell you where we’re going!
We’re off to see Kevin!!!!!
It’s a live show of a puppet version of Home Alone by a group called Recent Cutbacks.
We’ve been to another one of their shows where they did a low budget version of The Matrix and it was amazing and I’m sure this show will be, too.
…
That show was amazing.
Every time they said “Home alone.” and looked at the camera, I died of laughter.
Classic.
If you’re ever in NYC and Recent Cutbacks has a show anywhere, go see it.
A truly wonderful and creative group of people.

This is a postcrossing postcard that is being sent to Germany.

This photo is from Monticello (the building on the back of a US Nickel).
The recipient mentioned being a history lover and so I shared some stories from my visit.

This is one of the postcards that comes with the bill at The Bonnie, and I mailed it to Tony and explained to him how I have a sticker book of cats that I hate. There’s one particularly bad sticker in there of an orange cat with the words “Orange you glad I didn’t eat you in your sleep?”
Those stickers are fucking stupid.
I hate them.
Y’know what?
Now I’m upset.
This blog is over.
