I will not grow up. Penises are funny, postcards will be mailed, Broadway shows will be viewed and self care will be had. Cheers.

Ahhh, good morning.
Today is a great day to send a postcard to a friend.
This one will go to my friend Tony in Michigan.

With my birthday coming up, I shared some stories and theories about what surprises my wife might have planned.
With that out of the way, I need to drop my laundry off at the laundromat down the road.
I live right by a laundromat, but they kept losing our clothes AND magically adding new clothes to our bag.
I would prefer to wash my own clothing, but we do not have the connection for a washer and dryer.
That would be nice, but I am happy with our low rent.
While at our laundromat I noticed they have a diagram of the various clothing washing icons.

That’s pretty awesome.
This is like those hobo codes, except that they are real.
There was a book about hobo codes that was a bunch of made up nonsense to sell books. The myths from that book are still touted as fact. Here’s an article on the matter if you’ve ever heard about hobo codes and want to know more.
As for incoming postcards, I got one from my pal Jerry in Nebraska, today!

This artwork is a rendition of the album cover for Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy.
Thanks Jerry. This is a fantastic postcard.
Oh, and I should send another postcard to Tony in Michigan.

Wait.
This isn’t a London postcard.
I believe this is a postcrossing postcard from Ukraine.
My notes are wrong.
I bet there’s a London postcard to Tony coming up later.
I am currently planning a road trip across Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina.
Here is the map that I created to track the various camp sites and points of interest.

Speaking of camping, I like to bring a kite with me when I go camping.
It’s always nice to get outside and fly a kite.
The last time I went camping I brought a cheap kite that I bought from eBay, and it was a little bit broken.
This time I will bring a nice kite.
A unique kite.
Maybe a giant kite.
Or one of those cube ones.
Or how about a Prism EO Atom Box Kite.
This is the kite that I decided to go with.
I would not suggest ordering from this website, though.
They send too many emails.
On that note, if you want to see what email groups you’re subscribed to in Gmail, you can visit this link to see a list and unsubscribe to any you aren’t interested in: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#sub
Whenever I drop off mail to the post office, I make it a point to see what new stamps have been added.
I never buy any, but I like to see what’s new.
Okay…
Sometimes I do buy some if they’re really good.
Today they had really good stamps.
Behold!

Man, these are good.
Today I have been instructed, while wearing a very wrinkly shirt, to take care of myself.

First, I must keep the bald out of my face with this hair holder thing.
And then I put the lotion on my skin.

I stand corrected.
This is a mask.
It is not lotion.

I am now prettier.
Let’s send some thank you postcards.
I am going back through my blog to look at places that I have visited in the past to relive some nice memories.
Oh, here’s that time I visited Andice to ask if the urban legend about how they got their name is true!
Let’s send them a nice postcard.
How about Central Park.

This was the same day that I visited the Florence, Texas public library and had a great conversation with the librarians there.
Let’s send them a thank you card as well.
I sent one before, but what the heck. Two thank you cards is just fine, I’m sure. It’s been at least a year since the last one.

Let’s also send a postcard to Tony.

Y’know what?
I don’t usually show the message side of the postcard because that feels personal to me.
I don’t mind summarizing the topic, but I don’t like the idea of sharing the full text.
Today I will make an exception.
While looking through my stickers, I have a lot of short phrases and word stickers and I used these to write a message to Tony.
About pensises.

Bro. Party it easy, okay?
Do not bend it, lol.
Sometimes ya thing be fragile, yo.
Like what? OMG! Handle with care!
One day I’ll grow up.
…
But not today.
Speaking of dumb sex things that make me chuckle, I also took on one of the book challenges that I have.
“Write down a favorite quote and place it somewhere you’ll see it every day for a week.”
Easy.
A quote from Ned & Stacey

Tonight we (again) see the Broadway play Oh Mary!
It now contains Kumail Nanjiani as Abraham Lincoln and Jinkx Monsoon as Mary Todd Lincoln.
Delightful.
Also I bought more stamps.

I needed the postcard stamps…
But I wanted the baby wild animals stamps.

A wet day here in the city.
Oh, they updated the Oh, Mary! playbills with Jinkx’s face.

A fantastic performance.
Good times were had by all.

Nothing. Tomorrow is my birthday. I must prepare both mentally and physically. ๐ง โ๐ช
Tomorrow is the big day.
And I’m sure it will be big, so let’s end this post here.
I can’t wait to see what surprises my partner Lauri has in store for me tomorrow.
