Grand Central Station has a hidden activity, I need to be healthier (but I’m making progress), postcards and a creator fair this week here in NYC.

I’m kicking in my sleep.
That’s not normal.
Need to look into that.
I should get healthy.
Be a jogger, or something.
I have changed my diet and have lost about 15 pounds this year which brings me from my highest weight of just over two-hundred and forty pounds to just below two-hundred and fifteen pounds.

A postcard to Korea where I chat about badminton and books.
That kicking thing is still on my mind.
Am I developing Parkinson’s?

Not sure why I took this picture of Ptolus, but check out this honking RPG adventure book!

This is the adventure that Monte Cook (an RPG author) ran for his players.
There is a D&D version and a Cypher System version. This is the Cypher version.
Today I was poking around at free RPGs on places like itch.io and drivethrurpg.com and I found a fun dungeon designer one.
Well, it’s a space-ship designer game, but it’s based on an earlier dungeon designer mini-game.
Dice are rolled and based on their numbers, they are then gathered and stacked and then a space ship is mapped out.

Med clinic on one side and the docking port/repair port on the other.
I like this idea a lot.
Rolling dice to semi-randomize a dungeon or space station is a good way to get the creative juices flowing.
Check out Wallet Dungeons! on itch.io
Y’know what?
It’s a good night for a walk.

There’s a nice view of the water from the Costco parking lot in Queens.
I mean, it’s a public water way.
It just so happens to be in the same place as the Costco parking lot.

Keanu cuddles!

Penny being a weirdo!

Also I got a postcard from Moldova which Keanu is holding.

She doesn’t know it’s upside-down. Please do not tell her.

Today we are getting back to our alphabet food challenge where we try to eat food from a country for every letter of the alphabet (minus the two that do not have a country).
Today is E for Ethiopia.

I am very glad that I asked the server for suggestions, because my favorite things on this platter came recommended.
Today there is also a creator shopping event and there are some very cute stickers that we can see on the event poster, so we’re going.

I did, in fact, buy some stickers…
And postcards.
Here’s one of those New York things that you always hear about.

You can borrow the tools to do this from the fire department, by the way.
Okay, so. Ink stamps.
I really want to buy one.

I think that if I were to buy one, I’d try to get one that I can set to latitude and longitude coordinates for sending postcards while traveling.
Oh, that reminds me, I’m planning a road trip on September. I should bring a bunch of postcards with me.
I’m trying to figure out a way to add post office visits to the plan.
I wish they had stamps like the national parks do.
I got some new stickers, some of which turned out to be amazing and some are duds.

These cat stickers are nice, but I absolutely hate the text that is included with them.
The bird stickers on the other hand are a lot of fun. There are some duds in there, but these are a great addition to postcards and letters.
Speaking of postcards, here’s one being sent to Hong Kong.
Here’s a golden spike postcard from Utah that I sent to my pal Tony in Michigan.

Check out this hilarious sticker that I put on this card.

Also, I think I have figured out my favorite way to draw mountains.

I also sent a homemade postcard to my pal Dan in Texas.
This one is made out of a handout from a rugby game that I went to recently.

Bad picture. Good postcard.
Speaking of bad, I have a very bad habit of putting mugs in the dishwasher that shouldn’t be machine cleaned…
This one is from the Broadway/West End musical: Operation Mincemeat.

I am so sorry, my dearest wife.
Now for a postcard to Tommy in Michigan.

Shared a story with Tommy about heading to a comic book store in Brooklyn to pick up X-Men comics.
These ones.

I also sent a thank you postcard to Inks Lake state park in Texas.
I can’t remember the park interpreter’s name.

Oh, haha. That sticker is from a boba place I went to a while back that was giving out free stickers.
Kind of wish I had taken more.
Heck, if I’m sending think you postcards to Texas, why not send one to one of my favorite RPG stores?

If you’re ever in Austin, stop by Rogues Gallery. That place is great.

They get cool ‘S’ Washi tape.

Today I am taking one of the A-side New York City tours.

The Grand Central Station tour.

Did you know that there’s a tennis court inside of Grand Central?
A nice tour.
We were given hearing devices which is a big help.
I’ve been grabbing these at Broadway shows lately, too.
I’m partially deaf in one ear and these make a big difference.
One method that I use to try not to spend too much money when I’m out and about is that I’ll take a picture of a book to look it up later. This helps me decide if a book is worth buying. I’ll pick it up on a future visit if still interests me later.

This is especially good if a store shrink wraps their books.
I hate it when places do this.
I’m sure there’s a valid reason for this sometimes, but when it comes to RPG books, I’m not going to make a purchase without flipping through it, first.
It was a good day and it had a nice ending with some kebobs.
