We went into Manhattan for breakfast and I spilled coffee on my shirt.

But then I had an idea!

What if Lauri had a moustache?

And what if I ordered a Wagyu burger with Truffle fries?

Just kidding. The reason I’m pointing at this light a few pictures back is because I bonked my head on it.

The coffee came out of the shirt, but it gained a new stain somehow.

Today is the day we see our second Broadway roulette show.

I wonder what we’ll get?

Aladdin!

Not a show I would have chosen, but we had a good time.

The genie and the villains are the stars of this show.

Thursday November 21st, 2024

Tony is due in for a postcard, so let’s send him this one.

Bryant Park is nice.

If it’s not too busy/touristy, this is a great place to sit down for a quick bite.

There are loads of small sellers operating shops here from time to time as well.

Heck, I bought this card from one of those shops.

Saturday November 23rd, 2024

Today is the day we visit American Dream, the mall.

It’s sort of like Mall of America, but smaller and with a Nickelodeon theme park inside.

Lauri tried on a cute hat.

Andoni was with us.

We took an escalator selfie as one does at a mall.

There is also a giant slingshot which Lauri tested for us.

Oh heck yeah! A Gundam store!

One of the items on my adventure list is to build a big Gundam model!

Okay, maybe not this big, but I’ll find one here that’s bigger than any I’ve made previously.

Gundam purchased.

I accidentally got us lost and we found ourselves in the Bourgeoisie section of the mall.

I sneakily bought Lauri a gift during a restroom break. 😁

I celebrated the purchase with a Candyland milkshake.

Holy crap, this shake was amazing.

Oh, there’s the Nickelodeon rides!

Lauri and I debate riding on one of the rides.

These all seem pretty tame to me, but I’m happy to give one a shot.

We went with the Spongebob swing ride.

I had more fun than I thought I was going to.

I wanted to try to move my swing around, but Lauri gave me a quick “stop” and after the ride told me that this was a disallowed activity and that I just didn’t hear the announcement because I wasn’t paying attention.

Thank you Lauri.

I’d hate to get kicked out of the Nickelodeon theme park for misbehaving on a kid’s ride.

Lauri got a selfie with Olmec.

Scored a sweet postcard during this trip.

You twist the plastic cover and it gives a swirly effect.

Got an Angry Birds smooshed coin as well.

And a hepa filter.

Wait.

No.

I took this picture because I needed to order new filters for the air purifiers.

Future Levi here. Both filters have been replaced. The one near the cat litter was particularly dirty with clay powder.

Sunday November 24th, 2024

Today we have tickets to see Derek DelGaudio’s In and of Itself at the Museum of the Moving Image.

Frank Oz will be there.

Derek DelGaudio as well.

I have intentionally not looked up the movie so that it will be a surprise.

And what a surprise.

We got a nice coffee from the coffee shop to take into the movie.

A fantastic film of a live show that Derek DelGaudio hosted.

I won’t spoil anything.

Watch this on Hulu as soon as you can and don’t look anything up.

I cried a lot.

Postcrossing postcard time!

This postcard was shipped to Korea with a message about camping without a car.

I fell asleep cuddling with Penny.

Thursday is the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade and we have two tickets.

I have prepared by making a list.

It is expected to be cold and wet.

And we need to leave by 4:45 am to make it in time.
