A postcard to the Czech Republic. Or Czechia. I know the name changed, but I keep seeing folks who live there refer to it as “Czech Republic” and I’m certainly not going to correct them.
The profile for this postcrossing has the suggested topic “What is the most useless item?”
I described why I’ve been aversive to using electric can openers.
No hate. If you use them, they’re a perfectly reasonable accessory, but I’m not good with them.
I also asked this sheepherder about the personalities of their flock.
Do sheep have personalities?
I have no idea.
I am hoping to know more soon.

Out and about and trying a new coffee place today.
All of the shops here are around a central garden and eating area.
I wonder if they’d let me play D&D here?

I’ll ask next time I’m here.
For today, I write a postcard to my pal Tony in Michigan.

I shared my story of visiting Fort Tompkins.
I don’t think Tony reads my blogs, but he gets enough postcards from me that he probably knows all of the stories anyway.
On that note, I’ve been sending so many local postcards that today I broke down and ordered a roll of postcard stamps.
One hundred of them.
So that is $56 in postage.
And the final adventure on this day is that we decided to try the Broadway roulette.
The process is this: You buy a discounted ticket, but you do not know what show you will be attending until the day of the event.
You can select up to three shows to remove from the pool.
During the process of checking out, they got us with a discount.
10% off if we buy another pair of tickets.
And we did.
We are now the proud owners of two pairs of mystery tickets.
Both set for Wednesday evening shows.
Wish us luck.
Oh, and while we were out we accidentally found ourselves at an art museum.
We just happened to be walking past MoMA PS1 and noticed that it is free for locals.
So we went in.

And climbed their blocks.

And fell off.

Just kidding.

No one fell.
This building is neat.

But we must not take the forbidden stairs.

Or pass through the forbidden door.

This was a nice visit.
Finding something and making an unplanned detour is nice.

A postcard to Switzerland via postcrossing.com.

This postcard came from our lovely visit to the Met Opera House.
The conversation on the other side of this delightful card is about the Broadway roulette.
I love surprises.
Random: I play a lot of Dead by Daylight which is a five-player online video game.
There is currently a mode called 2 v 8 (2 killers vs 8 survivors) that is around for a short time.
I may have tried to start a chant in the pre-game chat a few times.

Today is the big day!
Before 11am we will know what our Broadway roulette results are and what show we’ll be seeing tonight!

We are now the proud owners of two tickets to Back to the Future The Musical!

I will absolutely not spoil anything about this show, but I will say this: It was so cool that I cried.
I wasn’t sure how much I would be into this show, but I wanted to be sure to give it a fair shot.
I wouldn’t have bought tickets to this if not for the roulette and I can say that I am so glad I went.
Truly amazing.
Keanu & Penny cuddling say “Hi.”
