๐Ÿฅ Chex Mix Used To Be Better, Right?

I forgot to post again last night, so it is a morning post today.

I sent this postcard to France.

Timpanogos Cave is a funny story.

For my birthday last year we took a trip to Utah and one of the places I wanted to visit was this cave.

I read on the website that there is a 1.5 mile hike to get there, but that is not a particularly long distance and so I shrugged it off…

I should have kept reading.

That 1.5 mile hike was up a mountain.

So I dragged a few people unknowingly up a mountain.

I was also teased for being afraid of going near the edge of cliffs as I had gone skydiving the day before.

Such is life and such is the story that I told on this postcard.

And of course my pal Tony gets a postcard. I like to send him silly cards or the duds.

This postcard was a dud. The back was glossy and a gray picture. It is very difficult to write on a gray picture. I tried white ink and a dark red ink. The dark red ink was slightly easier to read and a bit more reliable.

And finally Chec Mix. I remember it being great in the 80s when it was new.

The pre-mix stuff you can buy at gas stations is a disappointment compared to the homemade stuff.

At least this is my recollection.

And so I wrote on my adventure list to make Chex Mix sometime.

I have a few other cooking items on there as well such as “Make salsa” which is another recipe that I have never made myself.

I chose to use the official recipe on the Chex website.

It’s not very good.

I have a lot of leftover Chex and so I will be able to try again.

This batch isn’t bad, per se, but there was not enough “sauce” mix compared to the twelve cups of dry foods that needed to be coated.

I shall try again!

The image above is about half of this batch.

Keanu says “Hi.”
