It all begins with a flight from Austin to Detroit.
Three comments about this.
1. The Detroit airport does not have useful signage. It’s surprisingly difficult to get out of this building. I worked with another Austin visitor and took the train pictured above and fumbled around the building until this was resolved.
2. The Detroit airport is very close to Canton, Michigan which is super convenient as this is where my friend that I was visiting is located.
3. Our airplane was delayed for a mechanical issue, but we were moved to another plane and we lost no time to this issue.

Upon arrival my friend Tony picked me up and we gathered items of value from the local dollar stores.
Wrecking a copy of Wreck This Journal requires a few tools such as markers, tape, scissors, glue, ribbon, etc.
Note: two of the permanent markers did not work. Boo.

One other dollar store debacle was this dry erase board.
Notice these magnetic strips on the back. They are a lie. These are black plastic strips imitating magnet strips. Also boo.

During this visit Tony & I discussed the merits of S’mores. I don’t care for graham crackers or Hershey’s chocolate and I felt that they could be improved while Tony stood fast that S’mores need no innovation.
Items such as pop tarts, peeps, peanut butter and jelly, snickerdoodle cookies and more were purchased for experimentation.
Also we needed to name these new monstrosities.

We ended up calling them “S’lesses.”

Skip forward to the last day of my visit and I doodled a snake on the board. It was used exactly twice and never attached to a magnetic surface.
Also note the Tahitian Treat. I love this drink, but they do not sell it South of Minnesota. I did *ahem* “treat” myself.

After shopping we immediately began wrecking the journal.
We needed a few more items so we drove next to Target now with my other friend Heather joining us as well.
On the trip we listened to the Halloween classic Spiderwebs by No Doubt.

Heather jump scared us at the store.

Oh! And we had White Castle. I love their little burgers.

More journal wrecked! For glory!

Library visited, burgers grilled and an impromptu birthday party for Tony & Heather’s child Emerson was held.

This is also the night that for the first time in my life that I shotgunned a drink. Tony as well. He tried the Gatorade and I tried a Tahitian Treat.

It went well and I now have a new skill.

THE JOURNAL WRECKONING CONTINUED!!!
And I will continue to share more of this journey tomorrow.

Keanu says “Mblmlmb.”
