Good morning from Austin Texas at 9:49 am and 84° F (29° C).
Today I am noticing that some of the Wreck This Journal pages are a bit dated. I was going to work on another page that required a newspaper, but I was unable to find the newspaper that I thought we had at our apartment. Not sure where that went. This quest had me thinking “How difficult will this challenge be in the coming years?” and I turned to another challenge which was this stamp challenge. I don’t know if any of the mail I receive regularly has stamps on it. Luckily thanks to postcrossing I get postcards and extra luckily the kind Russian person who sent a card was very careful to leave one stamp attached loosely so that it could be preserved. What a nice thought.
As for the other cards, they get the steam. I saw this in old 1930s cartoons, so it must be true.
Unfortunately I got greedy and tried to steam three at a time and dropped one into the water…
So I slowed down, gathered a glue stick and I gave up quickly because I was damaging my beloved postcards.
Three stamps collected.
Mission accomplished.
