Postcard #11, Borrowed Pen Scribble And The Beginnings of A Fantasy Tavern

Postcrossing.com card #11 has been shipped off to Germany. This is the first time I have had a repeat country, but as I recall Germany is in the top 5 for postcrossing members, so this is not a surprise.

I shared a story on this postcard about when my wife and I were backpacking across Canada and stayed with a German family in CouchSurfing.org.

During this visit we played board games, got Christmas treats in our shoes and were nearly cheated by the young brothers in the family. They were caught when Lauri looked up the game rules online. Before this the rules kept changing when the kids were translating them for us.

Outgoing mail is dropped off at our apartment’s front office so while I was there I borrowed a pen and scribbled wildly and documented the date & location. Progress, my friends.

Clocking in at work in 4 minutes so I did not have time to start this, but I will think about this topic. What makes a good RPG tavern? Maybe one noob starting location with a quest to rid the basement of rats, but as for the other four, I will need to think about this.

Oh, and I have another adventure book that said it was delivered yesterday, but it is not at the office nor was it in my mailbox. Hopefully it shows up today.

Best,

Levi
